Indie Romance Conveniton special Count down to Valentines Day author blog postings

Love is in the air!

As a multi-genre author, one of my favorite genres to write is romance. I write everything from hot and spicy, to soft and sweet. For this Valentines post, I thought I’d take a moment to introduce you to some of my favorites.

One of the first romance stories I published was my series, the Helios Chronicles. It encompasses three full-length novels, a prologue novella, and an epilogue novella. Helios Awakened which is book one in The Helios Chronicles tells the tale of Andrew ‘Helios and Madison as they fight for their happily ever after. Book one introduces us to their love story, along with several secondary characters. It is steamy, and somewhat angsty. He comes from a horrible upbringing that teaches him that love is unattainable, and that he isn’t worth anything. She is a strong willed young woman who didn’t believe in love. They’re drawn to each other in a way that neither one expects, but can their newfound love survive the life he led before they met? Now, that’s the real question. These two will be tried and tested in ways that most would not imagine, but if there’s one thing I personally have learned from these two characters is that love can survive anything.

Not gonna lie, Helios is my favorite character I have ever written. There’s just something about him that I adore so much. Granted, I love all my characters but Helios will always have a special place in my heart. Now, this story is rated Adult for sexy times, and for mature subject matter. Definitely not meant for younger audiences.

My next romance is called Beyond the Beach. It’s a romantic comedy starring a cocky surfer, Masen Pelletier, and a feisty New Yorker, Zoe MacIntosh. Masen is one of those guys that is used to getting his way. Zoe is one of those girls that doesn’t fall easily. When their paths cross, sparks fly. They meet in the Bahamas and while Zoe tries to resist him, she is no match for his charms. They agree to just have fun; after all, they’re on an island, why not have an island fling? However, when their time is done will they be able to exit each other’s lives forever? Will they be able to let go of one another?

I had such a blast writing these two characters. They have many fun adventures but also, there is this sense of realism in there interactions as well. I would say this book is rated PG-13. It has some fun sexy times, but not as in depth as Helios if ya know what I mean. It’s also a nice fun read, especially in this cold weather. Who doesn’t want to read about having fun on the beach?

My next romance that I’d like to tell you about is called, Always His Girl. This story is a friends to lovers tale set against the backdrop of September 11th. Nevaeh and Jensen have been best friends since grade school. Over the years, that friendship has turned to love, at least on her part. Except, she never tells him. It isn’t until they are in college and 9-11 happens. At that time Jensen enlists in the Marines that she has to make a decision. Should she tell him how she really feels and risk losing him as a friend, or not say a word and possibly have him die not knowing that she loves him?  What will she decide and what will be the consequences of her choice?

I initially wrote this story as part of an anthology that didn’t happen, so I expanded it and turned it into a full length novel. I really love the way it turned out, and adore these two characters. This story is a very sweet romance with minimal cursing and sex. It is safe for anyone to read. It’s probably the cleanest romance I have every written…. LOL`

The last romance I want to tell you about is my work in progress which at the time of writing this post I only have three more chapters to write!!!!! It’s called Breaking Ember and you all are getting a first peek so to speak at the story. The two main characters are Ember and Tone. Ember is a former barrel racer who has a terrible accident in her last race that stops her from racing again, from even getting near a horse. Tone is bull rider. He’s a total charmer but also really down to earth. He is working at Hawkins ranch breaking horses for Ember’s best friend. Ahhhh, this is where they will meet. Sparks fly between them, but Embers past makes it difficult for her to trust. Can Tone break through and help her heal?

GAH!!! I’m so excited about this book. I can’t wait to release it. The cover model is Grant. He is one of RLS Models and he is my very first exclusive cover. Isn’t he a hottie? In addition, just for background. I let my daughter pick his name. She is a huge Tony Stark fan so she named him Anthony ‘Tones’ Markenson. Yeah, that’s my girl… LOL. My plan is to have this story ready to release by May 2022 so keep a lookout for it.

All right, that’s it for now. I hope you all have an amazing Valentine’s Day, and that if you are so inclined that you pop on over to Amazon and snatch up one of my romances to read. Have a wonderful day everyone!
